I, too, is afraid to fall (again)

I’ve been excelling in my Pilates classes, not because I was naturally good at it, but because I was consistently attending every session. One day, I decided to take a class with a different trainer. During this class, I noticed both my strengths and areas that needed improvement.

There was one exercise where we had to curve our backs and allow ourselves to roll. I struggled with this and kept falling straight onto my back, unable to perform the roll correctly. The instructor noticed and told me the proper technique.

Later, my friend and I were discussing it on our way home from the class. She said something that struck me deeply: “I saw you protecting your back. You seemed afraid to fall.”

We looked into each other’s eyes, and I realized she was right. I was indeed afraid to fall—not just in Pilates, but in life. I was scared to re-enter the dating scene, to embrace relationships, and to take risks. I was cautious, overthinking, and worried about so many things.

Are you also about to take a step towards a new challenge?

Are you on the brink of entering your courage zone?

Are you ready to take a leap, wanting to trust the process but feeling hesitant and doubtful?

I am with you. I, too, fear taking risks. But every time I remember all the things I have accomplished, the valuable lessons I learned from my mistakes and challenges, and all the growth I gained from my losses, I realize there is nothing I cannot do.

And the same goes for you. If you are reading this, take it as a sign that nothing is impossible when you put your heart and mind into it.

I wish you all the best, my beautiful soul!

See you at the finish line!
